Enthusiastic, personable communicator—these are the qualities that define our independent adjusters. Whether a tenured veteran or someone newer in the industry, we are looking for adjusters who empower themselves with the importance of the duty they have to both our carrier clients and their insureds. The ability to cultivate a sense of professional empathy is critical. Our adjusters must be able to put themselves in the insured’s shoes without compromising our commitment to service for the carrier. They need to be dependable and respond to emails and phone calls immediately and complete reports accurately and on time.
In addition to our field adjusters, inside desk examiners play a vital role in the claims adjusting process. Inside desk examiners can be on-site at the carrier’s location or work remotely, depending on the carrier’s needs. They provide the full adjusting experience, from answering calls from the insureds, initiating the claims process for them, reviewing inspection reports, understanding and deciphering policy language to determine what is and what is not covered under the policy and issuing payment to the insureds.
Today we have a roster of 4,000 adjusters, desk examiners, and reviewers across the nation. At any given time, we have about 125 adjusters working. During a catastrophic event, we can mobilize up to 300 or more adjusters in the field and over 100 working at locations for a carrier.
