Southwest Adjusters provides coast-to-coast coverage for windstorm, hail, hurricane, tornado, flood, freeze, earthquake, and wildfire claims. At Southwest, our seasoned adjusters and trained office personnel handle claims efficiently and deliver effective service.
We deal with both residential and commercial property claims. We also offer on-site and remote desk adjusting resources, examiners, and support staff for our carrier-partners. Oftentimes, a company’s daily claims will be sacrificed due to adjusters leaving to work a storm. We have built a roster of both catastrophe and daily adjusters in order to avoid this situation. Moreover, at Southwest we maintain a degree of separation between our Catastrophe division and our Daily division.
Our dedicated field adjusters begin the process by reaching out to insureds to discuss their losses and schedule an inspection time that is convenient for them. Oftentimes, they will meet with them after their work hours or on weekends to avoid the insured from having to miss work. Our adjusters then meet with the insurer and complete a thorough inspection of all structures on a policy to evaluate damages related to their claim. They listen to the insured’s concerns and inspect accordingly.
Our field adjusters spend as much time as it takes to evaluate claims, living out of hotel rooms or RVs and working long 12 to 16-hour days into the night writing the estimates. Their work goes beyond just figuring out how many shingles a roof needs or how much drywall to replace. It is very common for adjusters to carry water, blankets, and food to share with insureds if the situation warrants.
Inside desk examiners play a vital role in this process as well, working onsite at the carrier’s location or remotely, depending on the carrier’s needs. They provide the full adjusting experience, from answering calls from the insureds, initiating the claims process for them, reviewing inspection reports, understanding and deciphering policy language to determine what is and what is not covered under the policy and issuing payment to the insureds.
